A Visit from the Solent Maths Hub!

We were delighted to welcome Shelley Martin from the Solent Maths Hub to Light Years School today!

Shelley met with Sarah Alden (Headteacher), Emily Smart (Assistant Headteacher & Curriculum Lead) and Kate Evans (Year 5/6 Class Teacher & Maths Lead/Specialist) to explore our curriculum and the exciting maths learning happening across the school.

Kate joined the Light Years team in September and has already made a big impact on our already amazing curriculum. With years of experience working alongside the Maths Hub — including delivering training and leading workgroups — she brings a wealth of expertise that is benefiting both our staff and pupils. We are so lucky to have you, Kate!

We’re also proud to share that Light Years School is participating in the Solent Maths Hub’s SEND Workgroup this year! We look forward to continuing this fantastic partnership and further strengthening our maths provision for all learners.
