Lucy is an experienced business founder, SEN specialist, and passionate advocate for neurodiversity. Through her campaigning and work supporting children and young people, she brings a wealth of knowledge, insight, and compassion to the conversation around inclusive practice.

Lucy spoke to us about how we can best support learners with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) - especially timely during PDA Awareness Week.

Together, we explored practical ways to reframe demands, reduce anxiety, and empower children to feel safe, understood, and in control. One of the most important reminders from the evening was that PDA is anxiety-driven, not choice-driven.

We were also so pleased to welcome our next-door neighbours from St Columba. It was fantastic to share ideas, perspectives, and experiences, and we really value the opportunity to collaborate with mainstream colleagues. So many meaningful conversations were had throughout the evening.
